Born and raised in Springfield, MO, I have had a very interesting life, to say the least. My mom has urged me, time and again, to write about my life… I am not sure I have the time, energy, or desire to pen that particular tome. It is not that I do not care to relive some things in order to write my memoirs; however, I am at a good place in my life, so why rock the boat? I will say I would not change the good or the bad, as all of it has made me who I am today. Instead of writing a book about me, myself, and I, I started a blog. I can share a vast amount of knowledge and life this way, and I can reach a wider audience.
I have worn a number of hats in my life, but I turned my talent for writing from a hobby into a career in 2009. I have written many articles and other types of writing for various newspapers, magazines, websites, firms, and private clients. I had a very successful blog a few years ago, and I have published one novel and a cookbook.
My health has taken a toll on my body, and thanks to diabetic complications, I am losing my vision. I refuse to let this stand in my way, however. So, here I am, happy to blog about whatever is on my mind.
I currently live in Manchester, NH with my husband, Robert, and our three furry babies – Shadow, Buffy, and Jynx.
